Linbrooke

"The app helps us ensure that our staff are safe and we’re happy with the features it offers."

Linbrooke partners with StaySafe to help protect their lone workers

Established in Sheffield in 2002, Linbrooke specialises in the installation and commissioning of fibre optic networks across the UK. Workers spend a large part of their day travelling to different sites to conduct surveys and install vendor and electrical equipment.

To manage lone working requirement across global sites, Linbrooke sought a technology-based solution to allow employees to check in to safely during lone working sessions and raise an alert in an emergency. StaySafe was trialled alongside other available products and provided the right solution and ease of implementation.

The global Optical Networks teams have fully integrated StaySafe into their programme schedules.  Employees have an allocated check-in time when beginning a period of lone work or travel. If an employee does not check-in and out of their session safely, a session expiry alert will be sent to the on-duty StaySafe PM.

Ian Patterson, Senior Project Manager at Linbrooke comments, “we’ve been using the app for just over three years and it’s been a great addition to the company. We can clearly see the safety status and location of our staff through the hub. We can quickly and easily locate employees and in an emergency, send assistance. The app helps us ensure that our staff are safe and we’re happy with the features it offers.

Don Cameron, CEO at StaySafe adds, “slips, trips and falls accounted for 29% of all workplace injuries in 2019. With this in mind, we’re glad to offer protection that can help ensure staff are safe whilst working in environments with high risk. The StaySafe app is great for workers who work from height, amongst dangerous machinery or who drive to different locations.
