Easy-to-use lone worker app for field service management

Your employees may face challenging situations while they work on sites alone. With our easy-to-use lone worker solutions, you can protect them, 24/7, from these risks.

How our field service management safety app can support your field employees

Lone working has become commonplace for those working in field service roles. Many employees regularly travel between, and work on, sites alone or carry out work in empty properties and client homes. While working alone is usually safe, lone working brings with it additional risk, as any danger faced is faced alone.

The StaySafe app ensures that lone workers have a way to signal for help in any situation. A panic button can be used at any time, while missed check-in and session expiry alerts will send an alarm even if the lone worker cannot. Non-movement will be detected if an employee has been incapacitated, and a wearable button can be worn to detect falls.

Risks for lone workers in field service roles

Working across a range of environments and with hazardous equipment and materials, field service workers are exposed to some of the leading causes of workplace accidents and fatalities, such as:

Slips, trips and falls

Injuries from lifting/handling

Being struck by an object

Being injured by machinery

Falls from height

As well as these most common risks, field service workers are also exposed to other hazards which, if safety measures are not in place, can have detrimental consequences. For example:

Working near water

Working in confined spaces

Working with electricity

Working with hazardous substances

Driving

Working behind closed doors

How StaySafe helps protect lone workers in field service roles

At StaySafe, we have specifically-designed functionality to overcome common challenges lone workers face in field service roles. A panic button can be pressed at any time to signal for help, while missed check-ins and fall detection alerts will notify someone even when a lone worker is unable to reach their phone.

The app also monitors the location of lone workers in real-time and allows them to check in safely once they have finished a lone working or travel session. A note-taking facility allows lone workers to add extra details to a session, such as where in a building they are based or when they are about to enter an area of low signal.

The StaySafe Monitoring Hub provides an accurate location and up-to-date safety status, so that you always know where your employees are and that they are safe, even when travelling between different jobs during the day.
