Garmin have launched a new GPS handheld device with in-built satellite communicator.
The new device boasts a large 3” colour display, an expedition mode which allows the user to access up 200 hours of battery life, cellular connectivity which gives access to active weather forecasts including predictive maps for temperature, wind, precipitation and clouds.
The new device is also compatible with the StaySafe lone worker app allowing users to trigger a panic alert in an emergency. If a panic alert is triggered on the device, StaySafe will notify a monitor immediately, allowing an organisation to take action. Accurate location tracking allows remote workers to be monitored from the StaySafe Hub so that help can be sent directly to them.
The GPSMAP 66i GPS features include:
